The wait is over: Mick Kelly's Irish pub opens at Kent's Riverbend Golf Complex

After an extended period of prep work, Mick Kelly's Irish Pub is now officially open at Kent's Riverbend Golf Complex. According to bartender Dermot Owens, the golf course's anchor restaurant has been open since last week.
"We're fully open and fully functional," he said, noting they've been getting business from a steady stream of golfers, thanks to the good weather, as well as some customers off the street.
The eatery is set up for family-style dining, as well as having a well-stocked pub area. It's open daily at 11 a.m., and closes midnight on all but Friday and Saturday, when it's open until 2 a.m.
Children can be at the restaurant until 9:30 p.m. - then it's strictly for the adult crowd.
In addition to regular sports broadcasts, diners also can catch distinctly Gaelic sports like hurling, rugby and Gaelic football on the Fox Soccer Plus network at the restaurant.
Mick Kelly’s has taken over the digs vacated earlier this year by the Fire Creek Grill. Owned by Irishmen and cousins Mick Purdy and Adrian Kelly, the restaurant, which will be the third eatery of Mick Kelly, Inc., was selected as the top business to lease the space at the city-owned golf course.
