Seattle Children's Hospital joins forces with eight local Jersey Mike's Subs restaurants – including one in Kent at 18119 E. Valley Highway S. – for the second annual March "Month of Giving" fundraising campaign to help make a difference in children's lives.

The campaign culminate in the nationwide event, Jersey Mike's "Make A Difference Day" on Wednesday, March 28, to benefit 74 different charities with a mission to help children.

The inaugural campaign raised more than $600,000 for 66 charities nationwide.

"We are thrilled to be the beneficiaries of Jersey Mike's Subs Month of Giving this year. This partnership, along with the community supporting it, allows us to provide skilled and compassionate care to today's patients while researching tomorrow's cures," said Michele Smith, Seattle Children's Foundation Trustee.

Customers can make a donation to the hospital at any area restaurant. They are invited to make a minimum $2 contribution to the cause in exchange for a free regular-sized sub from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. March 28.
