Kent home sales drop 16.5 percent in April

Kent home prices dipped just 2 percent in April compared to the same month last year but sales fell 16.5 percent.

The number of homes for sale dropped 1.6 percent, Redfin, a Seattle-based real estate company. The median price for single family homes was $265,000 and $125,000 for condos with a median price for all homes of $245,000.

Here are the numbers in April 2014 compared to April 2013:

• Home prices down 2 percent, median home price $245,000

• Sales down 16.5 percent

• Number of homes for sale down 1.6 percent
