The Association of Washington Business will announce the six recipients of its second-annual Evening of Excellence awards at a black-tie, red-carpet event Nov. 29 in Seattle.

Eighteen companies of all sizes and from diverse industries across the state were selected by business leaders for top awards in six categories that correspond to AWB’s mission and vision statements. The winners will be announced in “Oscars-style” at the event.

WGU Washington, which is based in Kent, is up for an award that recognizes a business that has had a significant cause-oriented impact in its sector and/or community and contributed to the advancement of the economy.

Evening of Excellence will be at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the awards program begins at 7 p.m.

Formed in 1904, the Association of Washington Business is Washington’s oldest and largest statewide business association, and includes nearly 7,000 members representing 700,000 employees. To learn more, visit awb.org.
