Kent man commissioned into U.S. Marine Corps

Trevor Ice was commissioned Aug. 12 into the U.S. Marine Corps as a second lieutenant during a ceremony at his family home in Kent.

Ice is a 2008 graduate of Kentwood High School in Covington. Ice went last summer to Quantico, Va., for 10 weeks and graduated from Officer Candidate School.

This summer he finished his bachelor's degree at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
