Kent club provides 'Hope for Families'

Kiwanis Club of Kent members invite the community to help out struggling families in the area.

They are hosting Hope For Families 2011, noon Dec. 8 at the Golden Steer. The restaurant is providing a $5 lunch for those bringing any new or gently used donations of sleeping bags, jackets, gloves, hats or scarves.

The club members also are accepting check donations, made payable to Kiwanis.

Golden Steer is located at 23826 104th Ave. S.E.

Call Sally Goodgion at 253-852-0880 or email her at catalysttravel@hotmail.com to RSVP. The club won't accept RSVP's after Dec.6.
