Soroptimists, community organize coat, warm clothing drive

The Soroptimist International of Kent is once again partnering with various community groups and the Kent School District to collect coats and warm clothing for homeless students and their families as identified by the Kent School District.

There is a special need for new or gently used coats, hats, mittens/gloves and new socks.

The drive runs now through Nov. 30.

Drop-off locations:

• Kent Fire Station 74, 24611 116th Ave. SE

• Kent School District Administration Building, 12033 SE 256th

• La Petite Day Care, 24037 132nd Ave. SE

• First Baptist Church, 11420 SE 248th St.

• Zion Lutheran Church, 25105 132nd Ave. SE

• First Presbyterian Church of Kent, 9425 S. 248th St.

• Kent Covenant Church, 12010 SE 240th

• First Christian Church, 11717 SE 240th St.
