Soroptimist International of Kent seeks bras to fight human trafficking

Soroptimist International of Kent and the Farrington Court Retirement Community present Free the Girls Bra Drive to Fight Human Trafficking event on Dec. 5.

The dinner and art show is 4-7 p.m. at Farrington Court, 516 Kenosia Ave. Kent.

With a donation of $5, enjoy a spaghetti dinner, preview the bras on display decorated by the young girls of the community, and cast your vote on the best decorated bra.

The event's goal is to receive 100 pounds of new or gently used bras. The public can help. Drop donations at Farrington Court during event hours.

Free the Girls, a nonprofit organization, provides job opportunities for women in Mozambique, Africa, who have been rescued from sex trafficking.

Soroptimist International of Kent is an international organization whose mission is to improve the lives of women and girls in communities locally and throughout the world. Free the Girls is its African project.

New Soroptimist members are welcome.
