Members of the Kiwanis clubs of Kent and Covington hosted 100 elementary Dec. 19 at First Christian Church in Kent for an afternoon of food, music and gifts.

Each Kiwanian sponsored a student. Children came from schools in Kent, Covington and Renton. Additionally students from Kentwood and Kentridge High volunteered at the event through their respective Key Club chapters, which are affiliated with Kiwanis.

After the Kentridge Jazz Choir sang a series of Christmas carols, Santa Claus arrived to hand out presents to every child. This is the 40th consecutive year the Kiwanis clubs in the area have hosted the Kids Christmas party.
