Kent School District debuts cable access series

The Kent School District has announced the schedule for "The Future is Now," a new television series produced by students in the Kent School District showcasing the importance of technology in the classrooms and the business world.
The series, which is written and produced by students, explains how the Kent School District and surrounding community are preparing students for the future through the eyes of the students themselves.
This series premiered earlier this month and airs on Puget Sound Access (Channel 77) on Comcast Cable on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. through February.
The program schedule is as follows:
Nov. 24 and Dec. 8: Episode Two – Seeing the Future;
Dec. 22 and Jan. 5: Episode Three - Preparing for the Future;
Jan. 19 and 26: Episode Four – Stepping into the Future; and
Feb. 2 and 9: Episode Five - The Future is Now.
Puget Sound Access is available to Kent residents on Comcast Cable Channel 77. Some residents receive SCAN on Channel 77 instead. If you receive SCAN, you may call Dea Drake, City of Kent Multimedia Manager, at 253-856-4646 and request to have your public access channel switched from SCAN to Puget Sound Access.
