Kadea Ogelsby, a member of the Kent-Meridian High football team, loads donated school supplies onto a bus during the fourth annual SOAKS (Summer’s Almost Over At Kent Station) event on Aug. 18. Ogelsby and his teammates volunteered their time and labor for the Communities in School of Kent’s Fill The Bus school supply drive. The bulk of school supplies will be distributed to needy students throughout the area. Donations are being accepted through the end of August at these Kent Station dropoff spots – Coldwell Banker Bain, Christopher & Bank, and Naked Pizza. Classes for Kent schools begin Sept. 1. - Mark Klaas, Kent Reporter
