Kent's Rainier Youth Choir performs March 27 at Benaroya Hall

The Kent-based Rainier Youth Choir will perform Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” with premier Puget Sound choirs and a full orchestra at 2 p.m. March 27 at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall.

Rainier Youth Choir is a non-profit community organization for boys and girls fourth grade through college that offers three auditioned choir levels: bella voce, colla voce and consonare. Members come from Kent, Covington, Maple Valley, Auburn, Federal Way, Enumclaw, Issaquah and Renton.

“We are proud and delighted to have been invited to perform at Benaroya Hall in recreating this exceptional work of art,” said Leora Schwitters, RYC’s artistic director in a press release.
