Kent's Stefano Langone to sing national anthem at Seattle Thunderbirds hockey opener

Kent's Stefano Langone, who appeared on 'American Idol' this past season, will sing the national anthem at the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey opener Saturday, Sept. 24 at the ShoWare Center.

Kent's "American Idol" star Stefano Langone will sing the national anthem at the Western Hockey League opener of the Seattle Thunderbirds at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at the ShoWare Center.

Langone, a graduate of Kentwood High School, advanced to the top seven during the past season of "American Idol." He also earned a spot on Idol's nationwide tour.

The T-Birds play the Portland Winterhawks.
