The paintings of Seattle artist Blanca Santander will soon go on display at the Centennial Center Gallery in Kent.
The Connections exhibit runs from Nov. 9 through Dec. 28. The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 400 W. Gowe St.
Santander says the "Pacific Northwest and my Peruvian heritage are my worldly bonds. Mother Nature is the theme and inspiration for what drives my art. Mother Earth is a female figure who is so powerful and kind. I feel like I have roots and branches sustaining me physically and artistically."
