Rainbow Dance Theatre performs in Auburn on March 23
Back by popular demand, Rainbow Dance Theatre performs at the Auburn Performing Arts Center on March 23.
The audience will be lead through a series of mini-stories that are fast paced and with a visual spectacle in terms of skill and unique costuming. Scooters and a segway, glow in the dark costumes and air-filled garbage bags are just some of the effects that are united with innovative aerial choreography.
The dance troupe last performed in Auburn as part of the 2010-11 Bravo Performing Arts season.
“The positive feedback was overwhelming,” said Arts Coordinator Maija McKnight. “We heard from people for weeks asking about when they could be invited back to perform and how much they enjoyed the performance.”
Rainbow Dance Theatre is directed by internationally renowned dancer-choreographers Valerie Bergman and Darryl Thomas. Founded in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1991, Rainbow Dance Theatre (RDT) has been based in Monmouth, Oregon since 1998. The Company has toured throughout the world, performing in Europe, Asia, the United States, and Mexico to widespread critical and popular acclaim.
