The World Championship Ice Racing Series comes to the ShoWare Center 8 p.m. Dec. 18.

Professional racers compete on motorcycles and four-wheel all-terrian vehicles around an oval track on the ice. Racers can go from 0 to 60 mph in fewer than three seconds.

Kent is one of a number of stops on the circuit, as part of the 2009-2010 series. The racers also competed Sept. 19 in Portland.

Tickets are $28 for front row seats, $24 for start and finish line seats and $17 for reserved seats. Reserved seats for children ages 12 and younger are $7.

To buy tickets, go to www.showarecenter.com or call 253-856-6999.
