Radio-controlled hydroplane show in Kent

The second annual Roger Newton Model Radio-Controlled Hydroplane show is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum, 5917 S. 196th St., in Kent.

More than 60 scale models of unlimited hydroplanes are expected to be featured at the event. A hydroplane memorabilia auction is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

The 1957 Miss Wahoo exhibit runs Jan. 23 through April 30 at the museum. The exhibit features the replica of Bill Boeing Jr.’s Miss Wahoo as well as historic photos, artifacts from the original boat and interpretive displays.

Tickets for the museum are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and younger. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday.
