Kent's ShoWare Center to host 3-on-3 basketball shootout

Teams, volunteers and sponsors are wanted to participate in the ShoWare Shootout Aug. 7-8 at the ShoWare Center parking lot in Kent.

Courts will be set up in the parking lot. The inaugural event features age divisions for men, women and children.

The team entry fee is $100. That fee includes a guarantee of four games, T-shirts and a trophy for teams that make the championship game in division play. The entry deadline is July 10.

A portion of the proceeds benefits Kent Youth and Family Services.
