What, no parking?

Having seen several articles recently on Sound Transit, I'd like to offer my experience with it.

Having seen several articles recently on Sound Transit, I’d like to offer my experience with it.

I attempted to take the Sounder train from Kent to Seattle recently. I’m retired and wanted an option besides the bus. I drove to the Kent Station only to find there were no parking spaces. So I then drove to the Tukwila Sounder Station to again find there were no parking spaces. I then drove to the SeaTac station. No parking spaces there either. This was in the morning on a weekday.

I contacted Sound Transit with my issue and after numerous emails, was basically told that the Sounder is a “people mover,” and therefore for the majority of business commuters. So it’s not for everyone.

If that’s true, then why am I being asked to pay for it with my tax dollars. If it’s for everyone then everyone should be able to use it. The people planning for these sites should adequately plan for the parking facilities that are connected to the station.

I cannot use Sound Transit therefore I will vote No on any initiatives concerning it. My tax dollars are going toward something I cannot even use.
