Debbie Reynolds visited Kent in 1961

Hollywood starlet Debbie Reynolds visited Kent in 1961 to help promote her husband Harry Karl’s new shoe store at 107 N. Central Ave., part of the Karl’s Shoe Store chain.

Reynolds, died Wednesday at age 84, just one day after her daughter and actress Carrie Fisher, 60, died after suffering a heart attack.
