Maxwell to perform at Kent’s ShoWare Center June 20

R&B singer Maxwell, with special guests Common and Ledisi, will perform at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 21 at and the ShoWare Box Office, 625 W. James St., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Ticket prices are $56, $66, $76 and $96.

Maxwell in July released his much-anticipated blackSUMMERS’night,’ the second instalment of his musical trilogy encompassing his 20-plus year career. The album garnered praise from Rolling Stone, SPIN, Complex, and others. The album earned him his third-Grammy (Best R&B Song for “Lake By The Ocean”), a NAACP Image Award (Outstanding Male Artist), and a Soul Train Award (Best R&B/Soul Male Artist).
