Players from the Seattle Mist of the Lingerie Football League will help the Kent Predators kick off the 2011 Indoor Football League season.
The Predators have lined up Mist players as special guests to sign autographs and pose for pictures after Kent plays the Sioux Falls Storm in the season opener at 7:05 p.m. Feb. 25 at the ShoWare Center.

Several Seattle rappers will perform at a hip-hop show from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Feb. 26 at Poppa's Pub in Kent to benefit the Seattle Animal Shelter.

Kent guitarist Ryan Johnson and Federal Way drummer Dennon Cowen just kind of blankly looked at each other the first time they met for a jam session.
Their fathers, Robert Johnson and Doug Cowen, are Boeing co-workers and suggested last summer that their musical sons meet.
"They didn't say a word," Doug Cowen recalled.
Now, about eight months later, the pair, along with vocalist Jeremy Cooper and bass player Derek Karn, are part of Thrilliant, a Kent band that plays a mix of punk, rock and metal.
The Kevin Jones classic rock band will help launch the grand reopening Feb. 19 of Casey's Bar and Grill, 24228 104th Ave. S.E.

Brad Ross thought it was so cool when his mother hired a magician to perform at his 5-year-old birthday party that he decided to become a magician.
Ross received a magic kit, took after-school magic classes and as a high-school student, he in turn became the magician at children's birthday parties.
"I fell in love with it," Ross said in a Monday phone interview from Bakersfield, Calif., where he is on tour with the Disney Live Mickey's Magic Show.
