A rock ‘n’ roll sing-along fundraiser will benefit the Kent Parks Deli and Cafe at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St. at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Lunch tickets go on sale for $5 at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 11. Participants who wish to play bingo between songs may request bingo cards compliments of Talbot Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

When doors open at 11:30 a.m., admission will be by ticket number for lunch which includes made-to-order deli sandwiches, homemade soup, tossed green salad, homemade dessert and beverage. The event concludes at 1 p.m.

The event will feature rock ‘n’ roll entertainer Andy Burnett. Lyrics will be projected on the screen for the songs selected by staff. Guests are welcome to vote for their favorite songs for the next rock ‘n’ roll deli bingo fundraiser set for Wednesday, July 12.

Attendees have the option to invest in the weekday lunch program to help offset program expenses. Cash, checks or credit cards (MC/Visa) are accepted and tax-deductible receipts will be issued upon request. The year-round fundraising program is known as C-12s a reference to investing in the cafe 12 months of the year in addition to special event fundraisers.
