VIDEO: Candlelight vigil in Kent honors slain Lakewood Police officers

A candlelight vigil Dec. 3 outside of the Kent Police station attracted more than 100 people - the public as well as police officers.

Organized by the North Park Neighborhood Council, the event was orchestrated to give the public and emergency personnel a chance to acknowledge the sacrifice of the four Lakewood officers, as well as to show support for Kent's own officers.

To donate to the families of the Lakewood Officers, send your donations to the Lakewood Police Independent Guild Benevolent Fund at P.O. Box 99579, Lakewood, WA 98499 or by visiting the organization's Web site at for more information.
