Communities in Schools of Kent, a nonprofit organization devoted to helping youngsters stay in school, is having its biggest fundraiser of the year and you’re invited.

The CISK Annual Fundraising Breakfast runs 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. March 16 at the Kent Senior Activity Center.

To learn more about the event or sponsoring a table, call Alice Pfaff, event coordinator, at 253-350-5031, or the CISK main office at 253-867-5637.

Past fundraising events have enabled CISK to undertake a number of projects, including: mentor training and support; matching 31 students with job shadows; supporting 33 students at risk for dropping out to graduate from the Performance Learning Center, operated by CISK and the Kent School District.
