The Leadership Institute of South Puget Sound rebuilds a playground in Kent | Slide Show

A group from the Leadership Institute of South Puget Sound along with some friends and family joined forces to rehabilitate a playground in Kent May 14.

The work was completed at an ECEAP or Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program facility at on South 3rd Avenue.

The work included rehabbing walkways and play area.

Maple Valley resident Bill Woodcock, who is one of the members of the group, said they joined the year-long class and one of the  goals for graduation is completing a community service project.

The participants were: Mike Gerber, Valley Regional Fire Authority, Tim Anderson, Green River Community College, Jo Thompson, Kent Police Department, Gerry Weir, Real Estate, Julie Venn, Custom Fit Therapies, Bill Woodcock W Real Estate Services.

The project donors were: John Morris, TRM Wood Products/Lumber, Bill Woodcock, W Real Estate Services, Mike Gerber, Valley Regional Fire Authority, City Of Kent, Green River Community College, Holy Spirit Church, Volunteer Students from Phoenix Learning Center.
