Washington State Patrol seeks trooper applicants

Want to become a trooper with the Washington State Patrol?

The agency is looking for candidates to be part of the 100th Trooper Basic Training Class.

Now is the time to submit applications before testing opportunities have passed, according to a State Patrol media release.

Testing is scheduled Oct. 8, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3 at the Washington State Patrol Academy in Shelton. Other testing dates are Oct. 4, Nov. 8 and Dec. 6 in Spokane.

Trooper cadets start at a monthly base salary of $3,287.

Candidates interested in testing for the State Patrol should submit their application prior to their desired testing date to the State Patrol, Human Resource Division at PO Box 42620, Olympia, WA 98504-4904.
