Marijuana Initiative 502 sponsors deliver more than 340,000 signatures

The post is a press release from Brian Zylstra, deputy communications director/legislative liaison.

Sponsors of Initiative 502 (marijuana) delivered what they said were about 341,000 signatures to our Elections Division Thursday.

The I-502 campaign says it plans to bring in 10,000 more signatures by Friday, the deadline to turn in signature petitions for initiatives to the Legislature.

Here is a link to a blog post we did that about the I-502 signature delivery, including a photo of I-502 proponents talking to the media while opponents stand in the background holding signs. Another photo in the blog post shows an Elections Division employee counting some the petition sheets that were turned in.
