Kent schools reopen Tuesday, Jan. 24

January 24, 2012 · Updated 10:20 AM

Kent School District schools reopened Tuesday, Jan. 24 after being closed for a week because of weather conditions.

Emerald Park Elementary, Millennium Elementary and Kentwood High School each had power restored Monday to bring all schools back to normal operations.

Kent schools were closed Monday because so many schools were without power and numerous streets were closed due to fallen trees and power lines.

Schools also were closed four days last week because of bad weather.
