Inslee to visit Kent, Renton as part of alternative energy jobs tour

Jay Inslee, the Democratic candidate for governor, will take part in a two-part jobs tour with the CEOs of two local companies in Kent and Renton that exemplify the economic and job potential in Washington’s clean tech industry.

Jay Inslee, the Democratic candidate for governor, meets executives and workers in Kent and Renton next week – part of his jobs tour with area companies that demonstrate the economic and job potential in Washington's clean tech industry.

On Tuesday, Inslee visits World CNG, a Kent-based company and leader in alternative fuel vehicle conversions from conventional gasoline to compressed natural gas.

Inslee's appearance is scheduled from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., at World CNG, 20620 84th Ave. S., Kent.

On Wednesday, Inslee visits Shuttle Express, which worked with World CNG to convert a large portion of its fleet and built a natural gas-fueling station with the support of the Obama Administration's Recovery Act Grant award.

Inslee's visit to Shuttle Express, 800 SW 16th St., Renton, is from 10-11 a.m.
