Kent's ShoWare Center to host international sporting event in fall; announcement May 4

Gov. Christine Gregoire, King County Executive Dow Constantine, Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke and an Olympic and World medalist will reveal the details Friday, May 4 about a major international sporting event coming this fall to the ShoWare Center in Kent.
Officials will name the event at a 9:45 a.m. press conference.
Other elected officials scheduled to attend the press conference include:
State Sens. Karen Keiser and Joe Fain; State Reps. Tina Orwall, Dave Upthegrove, Pat Sullivan and Mark Hargrove; Kent City Council members Dennis Higgins, Elizabeth Albertson, Bill Boyce, Dana Ralph, Debbie Ranniger and Jamie Perry; and King County Councilwoman Julia Patterson.
