Candidates file for state Legislature, Congress | Election 2012

Kent residents will have several candidates to choose from in the 2012 state Legislature and Congressional races that cover parts of the city.
The Primary is Aug. 7 and the General Election Nov. 6.
Kent is served by Districts 33 and 47 in the Legislature and Districts 8 and 9 in Congress. Dave Upthegrove is running unopposed for State. Rep. Position 2 in District 33.
Candidates had to file for office the week of May 14-18.
