Major collision closes northbound I-5 at Boeing Access Road Friday; update: traffic flowing | Traffic alert
Traffic is flowing freely on northbound I-5 at Boeing Field.
Crews at about 7:50 a.m. reopened two lanes of northbound I-5 at Boeing Access Road.
Earlier, a serious collision blocked all lanes and created a 14 mile backup. WSDOT is using overhead message signs to advise drivers of alternate routes which has helped reduce the backup to 7 miles. Fire and aid are still on scene and there is no estimate for reopening the entire roadway
All lanes of northbound Interstate 5 remain blocked due to a serious collision at about 6:40 a.m. at Boeing Access Road at Boeing Field in Seattle, causing 14-mile backup, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
There is no estimate as of about 7:20 a.m. when the roadway will reopen.
Traffic is stop and go on northbound State Route 167 in Renton and northbound only Interstate 405.
