House fire displaces family of four | Mountain View Fire

Four people have been displaced by a house fire that started at 9 a.m. this morning in the 31000 block of 152 Ave. SE.

The fire was first reported as a shed fire next to a single story house. When firefighters from District 44, the Kent Fire Department RFA, and Valley Regional Fire Authority got on location, they found that the fire had spread to the roof.

The fire was contained and fully extinguished in less than one hour. Several holes in the roof and fire damage have forced the family out of the home. A neighbor’s house also suffered a small amount of damage from the fire.

Red Cross is assisting the family of two adults and two kids.

There were no reports of any injuries to occupants or firefighters.

A King County Fire Investigator is on location to determine the cause of the fire.
