Southline Sounder on reduced service Monday afternoon due to freight derailment

Southline Sounder service between Seattle and Lakewood will operate reduced service on Monday afternoon due to the earlier freight train derailment south of Auburn.

The following trains are canceled:  Train 1505 (3:12 p.m. Seattle departure), Train 1507 (3:42 p.m. Seattle departure), Train 1516 (4:25 p.m. Tacoma departure) and Train 1518 (4:55 p.m. Tacoma departure).

All other trains will operate with potential minor delays due to single tracking and speed restrictions: Train 1509 (4:12 p.m. Seattle departure), Train 1511 (4:32 p.m. Seattle departure), Train 1513 (4:52 p.m. Seattle departure), Train 1515 (5:12 p.m. Seattle departure), Train 1517 (5:42 p.m. Seattle departure) and Train 1519 (6:12 p.m. Seattle departure).

Sound Transit anticipates that Southline service will operate on Tuesday morning, Jan. 14, with possible delays due to congestion.
