Fire burns downtown Kent shed

Fire destroyed a shed at an abandoned downtown Kent home Sunday evening near East Willis Street and Railroad Avenue South.

The fire caused minor damage to the home, according to a Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority media release.

Firefighters extinguished the fire shortly after the first engine arrive. Fire crews determined that no one was in the house and shed. There were no injuries.

Investigators said the cause of the fire is undetermined and they had no damage estimate.
