Two people hurt in eight-vehicle collision on I-5 onramp Tuesday in Tukwila

Two people were injured at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in a seven-car, one-truck accident on an onramp to southbound I-5 in Tukwila, according to the Washington State Patrol.

According to the state patrol, a 2003 GMC Envoy lost control on the Klickitat Drive onramp, rotated and collided with a 2010 Ford F-350 pickup truck. That set off a chain-reaction collision involving the other six vehicles.

The driver of the GMC Envoy, a 26-year-old Tacoma man, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. A 27-year-old female passenger in the SUV wasn't injured.

The driver of the F-350, a 25-year-old Kent man, was injured but wasn't transported to a medical facility, according to the state patrol.

A 58-year-old Tukwila man driving a Ford Focus was involved in the chain-reaction collision but was not injured, according to the state patrol.
