911 service is disrupted | UPDATE: Service restored

UPDATE 8 A.M.:  911 service has been restored for landline and wireless callers in King County. However, some VoIP (voice over IP) callers may experience some temporary problems. If you are still unable to get through to 9-1-1, call the following numbers for your location.

There is a widespread 911 outage affecting Washington and Oregon, including King County.

If you have an emergency and are unable to get through to 911, call the following phone numbers in King County for your location, according to a King County  press release. A reason wasn’t give for the outage.

 At this time, there is no estimate when service will be restore.
