A man suffered non-life threatening injuries Thursday near the Kent-Auburn border on the East Hill when the tractor he was on tipped over, trapping his leg.

When firefighters from the Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority arrived shortly after noon in the 14500 block of Southeast 288th Place, they found the man conscious and alert, but unable to free himself, according to a fire department media release. His leg became trapped as the tractor tipped over while working on a small incline.

Firefighters used special jacks, normally used in auto extrications, to stabilize the tractor and lift it high enough to free the man.

An ambulance transported the man to a local hospital after King County paramedics examined him.
