The Friends of K-M, a newly formed organization for all K-M alumni, students, staff, Kent community members and business leaders, is hosting a “Farewell to the Gym” dance and fundraiser from 5-11 p.m. June 27 at the K-M gym. All alumni and their families are invited.

There will be music by the decade, dancing, refreshments, memorabilia, tours of the school, and a lot of old and new friends to share stories with and enjoy. There will also be a pre-sale of the gym floor in one foot squares as memorabilia.

The gym is slated for a total renovation beginning just one week after the dance.

Interested parties are encouraged to visit the Alumni page at the K-M Web site and register their email address to receive updates and announcements.

The cost of the dance is $5 per person, $10 per family, payable at the door.

The primary purpose of the Friends of K-M is to provide financial support to deserving K-M students in achieving their dreams and potential by providing scholarships to fund their pursuit of higher education.

If you have questions about the dance or are interested in helping at the event e-mail cookies13@hotmail.com or call 253-631-0518, or check the K-M Web site. Please use “K-M Gym” as the subject of your email.
