Rock 'n' roll fans who loved the hits of the 1950s and 1960s had a good reason to be at the Kent Senior Activity Center late last month.

The center's Summer Sock Hop on July 24 featured the singing/dancing troupe Clover and the Sassy Classics, performing the hits for those who wanted to dance or just listen. The event also included a diner-style lunch of a burger, chips and a root-beer float. Attendees had a rollicking good time dancing the afternoon away.
