Kent Fire Department investigators arrested a woman March 5 for investigation of first-degree arson in connection with a Jan. 29 apartment fire in the 11000 block of Southeast Kent-Kangley Road.

The fire displaced one family and caused an estimated $112,000 in damage, according to a Kent Fire Department media release on Monday. The woman is known to the occupants of the apartment where the fire started.

The woman remained in custody Monday at the Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center with bail set at $100,000.

No one was home at the apartment at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
