City to recognize Berrios, Higgins for work on Council

A ceremony Nov. 21 will honor outgoing City Council members Jim Berrios and Dennis Higgins

Outgoing Kent City Council members Jim Berrios and Dennis Higgins will be recognized during an informal ceremony at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at City Hall, 220 Fourth Ave. S.

The event is set for the lobby area of City Hall prior to the 7 p.m. council meeting.

Voters elected Berrios to a four-year term in 2013. Voters elected Higgins in 2009 and re-elected him in 2013. Berrios ran for mayor this month and lost to Dana Ralph. Higgins didn’t seek re-election.
