The Kent Black Action Commission will host two candidates forums in October.

The first forum on Oct. 13 is for candidates running for Kent mayor, the Kent School Board and King County sheriff. The second forum on Oct. 20 invites candidates running for Kent City Council.

Both Friday forums are 6 to 9 p.m. at Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Ave. N. The forums are free and open to the public. KBAC will provide light refreshments.

The forum is an opportunity for residents to gain knowledge of the people vying for public office. A moderator will direct questions to candidates, allowing time to collect questions from those in attendance.

For questions or to obtain more information, visit kentblackactioncommission.org, or facebook.com/KentBlackActionCommission, or call KBAC’s Gwen Allen-Carston at 253-486-9029 or Richard Johnson at 253-569-7561.
