Backstrom has it right about lack of fathers

Thank you so much for your column (Walter Backstrom, “Lack of fathers evidence of how selfish others can be,” April 11) in the Kent Reporter. That is so true that father’s role is diminishing in this society: in both the black and white communities. People nowdays just simply do not want to overcome their egos, their selfishness and kids end up getting hurt from all of that.

I believe that if people had their priorities right - God comes first, then family, then job/career - there would be less divorces, less fatherless families. True worshipers overcome things that might seem impossible to overcome for this world!
