ShoWare basketball tournament in Kent draws 160 teams

Basketball players of all ages filled up temporary courts at the ShoWare Center parking lot on Saturday and Sunday in Kent.
A total of 160 teams in 19 divisions competed in the third annual ShoWare Shootout 3-on-3 basketball tournament presented by Allied Waste. That's up slightly from the 156 teams that competed in 2011.
The tournament featured divisions for men, women, boys, girls and offered a wheelchair division. Teams paid an entry fee of $75. The fee included a guarantee of four games, a T-Shirt and extra T-shirt if your team wins the championship game of the division.
