For the Reporter

GFL Georgia rode running back Nolan Edmonds and a stout defense to the national championship in the Football University (FBU) 8th Grade bracket, shutting out Seattle 31-0 on Sunday at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Team Seattle is composed of several Kent players.

Edmonds scored two second-quarter touchdowns and rushed for 129 yards on 15 carries,

In the semifinals, Seattle held off St. Louis, 6-3, last Friday. St. Louis' 47-yard game-tying field goal fell just short in the final minute.

Jacob Sirmon's 14-yard pass to wide receiver Micah Smith with 2:45 mark left in the first quarter proved to be the game's only touchdown.
