Kent Storm cagers capture silver at Special Olympics

Kent Storm Special Athletes won silver in Team Skills at the regional Special Olympics basketball tournament in Issaquah on Sunday.

The team consists of students from Kentridge and Kentwood high schools. Team members included DeWayne Harris, Dana Visitacion, Jared Mead, Kevin Harris, Breeann Shaw, Joshua Baltierra and Shelby Chase.

In addition, Kent athletes excelled at Individual Skills – throwing, catching, dribbling and shooting at three stations. They were, pictured below, from left: Michael Jorski (Kent-Meridian) bronze; Derick Panico (Kentlake) silver; Joey Panico (Kentlake) bronze; Dillon Jackson (Lake Youngs) gold; and Daniel Cabreros (Park Orchard) bronze.
