Courtney Vandersloot, a Kentwood High School graduate, helped lead the Chicago Sky to the WNBA Finals against the Phoenix Mercury.

Vandersloot had nine assists and seven points to help Chicago beat Indiana 75-62 on Wednesday to win the Eastern Conference title in three games. The Sky opens the best-of-five series against Phoenix on Sunday.

Vandersloot, the No. 3 overall draft pick by the Sky in 2011, averaged six assists and 7.2 points in 17 regular season games. She missed the month of July with a knee injury.
