T-Birds ready to play first game in Kent

The Seattle Thunderbirds and SMG, ShoWare Center operators, are putting the final touches on the T-Birds new home as they get ready for the first game in the new building.
The T-Birds will take on the Everett Silvertips at 7:05 p.m. Jan. 3 in the first game at ShoWare Center. A sell-out crowd will be on hand for this game.
Those fans with tickets will be able to enter ShoWare Center at 5:30 p.m., which is a half hour earlier than for a normal game.
The T-Birds will face the Kamloops Blazers on Sunday, January 4, at 5:05 p.m. in the second game at ShoWare Center.
ShoWare Center is having an open house from 4-9 p.m. Jan. 2. Fans are encouraged to come and tour all aspects of the building for no charge. There will be musical acts and performances, T-Birds autograph session, self-guided, locker-room tours, Zamboni exploration, Harlem Globetrotter Buckets Blazes signing autographs and a special "Shoot The Puck" ceremony.

T-Birds season tickets are currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
